Fear, Loathing, and Dehydration at Cannes

June 1, 2017

Friends,

Wyatt and Will have returned from a full week of film, networking, and adventuring at the Cannes Film Festival. It was a wild and wonderful circus... so much so that we were crawling out of the place (I mean literally- my back gave out) by the end of our five days there. The city had a buzz of energy, and it was pulsating with people. We met film friends, connected with potential collaborators, and fed off the creative vibrancy of the place. We watched film hero David Lynch walk the red carpet while the "Twin Peaks" theme song filled the night air.

We watched a load of films too. From Noah Baumbach's The Meyerowitz Stories to Andrey Zvyagintsev's Loveless, it was an inspiring lineup. Watching so many films in such a short period of time truly gives a creative boost. So does traveling. Now we feel ready to attack our next couple projects, and we look forward to sharing our process as we begin our next short film, "Snailman."

Our short film "1LDK" was viewed several times at the Cannes Short Film Corner, and now it is available to view, in full, in the "films" section of our website. Check it out!

In the meantime, we are working away on our feature film script, Sugar Pine, and beginning preproduction on "Snailman." Stay tuned for weekly updates here on our website. Every Thursday.

Thanks for reading!

Yours,

Wyatt and Will
